A bloody altercation in Wayne County, Kentucky, yesterday resulted in an arrest. Officers responded to Valley View Trailer Park Road in Monticello where they found 32-year-old Christopher Melendez bleeding from his forehead from a possible knife wound. Deputies say there was a trail of blood leading from the yard to the living room where the man was found. Officers later determined Melendez was actually the aggressor. A female there said Melendez had tried to stab her and she grabbed the knife in an effort to defend herself. Melendez was charged with attempted murder.
