BEAUTY SHOP AND BARN DESTROYED BY FIRE IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
Cumberland County firefighters responded to a structure blaze at 1001 Old Flynn’s Cove Road just before 11 this morning (Tuesday, August 29, 2017). Fire Chief Trevor Kerley told 105.7 News this afternoon that when his crews arrived, a beauty shop and barn that were about 50 to 75 feet apart were both fully engulfed in flames. Both structures were a total loss. Chief Kerley says several thousand of gallons of water was used to put the massive fire out. Fire crews cleared the scene just before 3 this afternoon. No injuries were reported and a cause of the blaze is now under investigation by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department.
