The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced at a news conference that its lab has found at least three samples of cocaine laced with fentanyl. “This is a game-changer,” said T.J. Jordan, Assistant Director of the TBI Drug Investigation Division. “This is a serious risk to recreational drug use.” Jordan said one sample was tested in the Nashville lab and two other samples were found at the Knoxville lab. The TBI said it was the first time the agency had seen cocaine laced in fentanyl.
