CLAY COUNTY SUSPECTED SHOOTER MAKES FIRST COURT APPEARANCE

A man charged with the murder of a young girl in Clay County and shooting two adults this week made his first court appearance today. Jacob Stanley Snyder, age 29, faces first-degree murder in the death of 11-year-old Harley Evans and two counts of attempted first-degree murder. The shootings took place at a residence on North Fork Road. Prosecutors say the charges could be amended based on if the two that were wounded recover. Their conditions were not released. Snyder is being held in a separate cell from other inmates. The judge set a preliminary hearing for December 12, 2018. Snyder was appointed a public defender.
