Esther Janice Stewart Anderson, age 81, passed away on November 21, 2016 in Knoxville, Tennessee. She attended the Church at Sterchi Hills, Knoxville, TN; was a 1953 graduate of Gastonia High School and graduated from Rutherford School of Nursing in 1956. Preceded in death by her father Rodney Ray Steward; mother, Esther Franklin Glover Stewart; siblings: Evelyn, Gwen, Rosemary, Johnny, Sloan and Sarah; husband, Richard Anderson. Survivors include her sons: Charles Richard Walker and wife Vickie Faye Walker and Kenneth Hall and wife Dianne Walker; daughter Donna Walker Bristow; grandchildren: Tony, Mike, Tim, Brandon, Lauren and Hannah; seven great grandchildren; brother, Rodney Ray, Jr. and wife Dorothy Harper Meek Stewart. A Graveside Service for Mrs. Anderson will be conducted on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia, North Carolina.
