FORMER SENATOR MAE BEAVERS VISITS CROSSVILLE
Former Senator Mae Beavers was in Cumberland County Tuesday. Last week, Beavers resigned her seat so that she could campaign full time for governor. By resigning her seat, the former District 17 lawmaker can garner contributions for her campaign. Beavers appeared at the Crossville Shoney’s to a crowd of about 20 supporters and talked about many different subjects such as education, immigration and economic development. Beavers joins the list of Republicans running for governor which includes Diane Black and Randy Boyd.
