The Harriman Blue Devils boys basketball team will open the TSSAA state basketball tournament against Mitchell High School from Memphis this Thursday (March 16) at 6 p.m. central time. This will be the first meeting ever between the two teams on the basketball court. The winner of the game will advance to the state final four Friday, March 17. The championship game will be Saturday night, March 18. All games will be played at the MTSU Murphy Center in Murfreesboro.

Mitchell is no stranger to the state playoffs in basketball. The Tigers will be competing for their fourth straight championship in Class A. The Blue Devils are looking for their first in Class A. Harriman won the state championship in Class 2A in the 1994-1995 season.
