‘HIGHLY INTOXICATED’ WOMAN INVOLVED IN HIT-AND-RUN CRASH
Yesterday evening, Crossville police responded to a hit-and-run crash in the parking lot of Jan’s Wine & Liquor at West and Miller avenues. Witnesses said when a “blonde, larger-built” woman was refused an alcohol purchase in the store because of her level of intoxication, she got into a gold Chevy Silverado and backed into a white Nissan Altima. One witness identified the woman as her stepsister, 37-year-old Alicia Darlene Scott-Cook, and advised where she might be headed. Arriving at the address indicated, police found the “highly intoxicated” woman and the gold Silverado with white paint on the hitch. While being taken into custody, Cook reportedly damaged the driver’s door of another officer’s patrol vehicle. Cook was charged with leaving the scene and failure to report.
