Officials with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) says an area of Interstate 40 in Monterey that has been under construction is close to being finished. Officials say paving will get underway at the bridge site Sunday evening (September 17, 2017). Motorists can expect rolling roadblocks and an increased presence of the Tennessee Highway Patrol during the paving. The site has been the scene of numerous accidents over the past couple of months.
