LIGHTNING STRIKE CA– USES MAIN BUILDING OF HARRIMAN HIGH SCHOOL TO BE EVACUATED
Just before 11 this morning (Tuesday, September 5, 2017), the Harriman Fire Department responded as a precautionary measure to Harriman High School for a lightning strike by the main building. Authorities say no fire or smoke was observed in the school but school officials took extra steps to make sure students were safe. Students and staff were moved to an adjacent building while the main building was checked. Also, a house on Bullard Ford Road in Harriman was reportedly struck by lightning. No injuries were reported in either incident.
