A joint operation in Loudon County by law enforcement officials have netted 37 people on various drug charges. Additional counts have been filed against nine others who were already behind Bars. The Grand Jury returned the indictments served by District Attorney Russell Johnson back in December. Those charges ranged from sale of methamphetamine in a school zone to prescription fraud. The arrests began last Thursday, Jan. 5^th as the 9^th District Drug Task Force joined with Loudon Deputies to arrest 57 suspects. Many were located in surrounding counties such as Monroe, McMinn, Anderson, Roane and Knox. 37 were taken into custody. Authorities will continue to seek out the other suspects at-large.
