MAN ARRESTED AFTER SHOTS FIRED ALLEGEDLY NEAR HOME

A Roane County man was arrested following shots being fired yesterday (Wednesday, August 16, 2017). According to the arrest report, deputies responded to an area off of Shenandoah Drive where 21-year-old Cody Douglas Lavigueur of Rockwood allegedly used a pistol and fired a few times toward a tree line facing Third Street. Lavigueur told officers he just purchased the firearm and was testing it for accuracy. Deputies observed that directly behind the suspects residence in the area of the shots being fired was another home in close proximity. Lavigueur was charged with reckless endangerment with a weapon and transported to the Roane County jail.
