MAN CHARGED IN GATLINBURG MURDER CASE

A joint investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Gatlinburg Police Department has resulted in the arrest of a Sevierville man, charged in connection to a Gatlinburg homicide. On September 27, 2017, at the request of 4th District Attorney General James Dunn, TBI special agents joined the Gatlinburg Police Department in investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 43-year-old Melinda Ruth Russell. On that day, officers with the Gatlinburg Police Department responded to a home in the 800 block of East Highland Drive where they found Russell deceased. During the course of the investigation, agents developed information leading to 35-year-old Victor Scott Bradburn as the individual responsible for her death. Today (Friday, September 29, 2017), agents secured a warrant charging Bradburn with first-degree murder. He was served in the Sevier County jail, where he was already being held on unrelated charges.
