A head on vehicle accident late this morning on Little Cove Road at Highway 68 in southern Cumberland County resulted in multiple injuries and the highway being shut down. Two air medical helicopters were summoned to the county to transport patients to area trauma centers. A tree was also reported down from the wreck blocking one lane of travel on Highway 68 that was later closed so the scene could be investigated. More information on this accident will be released at a later time.
