New information has been released concerning the Amber Alert involving a Maury County teen and her abductor. The TBI says that Tad Cummins kidnapped 15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas on March 13. District Attorney Brent Cooper said Cummins left behind a note for his wife on the morning of his disappearance. Cooper would not reveal the contents of the note, but said the letter was meant as a diversion to buy more time. They are also saying that Cummins will soon need a prescription filled for blood pressure medications and that his whereabouts may be compromised then. The TBI is not confirming any of these reports.
