POLICE OFFICER INJURED WHILE INVESTIGATING ACCIDENT
An Oliver Springs police officer was injured while working an accident last night (Thursday, August 3, 2017). Authorities say Sgt. Charles Graham was transported to UT Medical Center in Knoxville for treatment of injuries sustained. The accident took place at the intersection of Highway 61/62 on Tri County Boulevard when Graham’s cruiser was hit by a vehicle. The impact sent Graham’s cruiser forward and striking him knocking Graham to the ground. Graham sustained an injury to his knee but was expected to return to duty with the Oliver Springs Police Department either today or tomorrow. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the accidents.
