RAIN THURSDAY, COLD FRIDAY

The month of February will start out wet on Thursday with temperatures in the upper forties. Rain May turn to light snow for several hours Thursday night but we will get back to clearing skies and sunshine on Friday but it will be cold with temperatures near the freezing mark. Friday night the temperatures will drop into the teens and then rebound to about 40 degrees on Saturday. The statistics for January for Crossville show we finish 3 degrees below normal and it was a very dry month, over 3 inches below normal with a total of 1.78. A cold January is usually followed by below-normal temperatures for February but normally not as cold. I dusted off the old crystal ball today and after this weekend I don’t see any more bitter cold Arctic air for Tennessee through Valentine’s Day, that is a bright note but I will be cautiously watching for changes.
