Five Volunteer Firefighter of the Year Awards have been issued in Roane County. The volunteer firefighters recognized are Regina Durham at West Roane County, Jim Thacker at Blair, Captain Michael Ferrell at South Roane, Lt. Frances Henderson of East Roane and Robbie Shillings of Midtown. All of those listed will be recognized at the February County Commission Meeting.
