Rockwood High School Principal Shannon Cawood was arrested for domestic assault Saturday morning. Roane County Director of Schools Leah Rice Watkins said that Cawood is on suspension pending the investigation. The alleged victim is Cawood’s wife, Midway Middle School Principal Amy Cawood. Law enforcement Officials are being tight-lipped about an investigation proceeding at Midway and it’s unknown whether or not that is connected with the domestic incident. Although nothing can be released pending the investigation, security at the school is expected to be increased today.
