SEARCH ON FOR MAN WHO ALLEGEDLY STABBED KENTUCKY SPORTS REPORTER

Kentucky law enforcement is searching for a man who allegedly attacked and stabbed a newspaper sports writer. Officers say Jamie Vaught, who is also a professor at Southeast Kentucky Community College, went to the front door of his home to find Harold Hatfield there. Hatfield reportedly stabbed Vaught three times in his neck and chest before running away. Vaught was transported to an area hopsital where he was treated for his injuries. The Middlesboro, Kentucky Police Department issued a warrant for Hatfield charging him with first degree assault. Friends of Hatfield reportedly told police that Hatfield is a skilled Marine and should be considered a threat. Authorities warn the public that if they see Hatfield, do not engage him and call 911.
