STEVE NORRIS FORECAST – BITTER COLD WEEKEND

After some overnight patches of snow move across the area they will begin to exit Tennessee and Kentucky on Saturday morning and the afternoon will bring some clearing. Very cold temperatures will continue however with Saturday afternoon only around 20 degrees dropping to near 8 degrees Saturday night and the high on Sunday near 28. Look for partly cloudy and 38 degrees on Monday with a few showers on Tuesday and a high near 48. A big warm up comes later next week with high temperatures of 55 to 60 degrees from Wednesday through Friday. Our new computer models we are using this winter are working pretty well, I went back and looked at December 28 and I had told you there is a system coming around the 6th to the 8th of January that could bring winter weather . Now I’m going to fill you in on what the next couple of weeks is looking like. I see 60 degrees next weekend and high temperatures in the low 50s all the way through the 20th of the month. I do expect rain to be quite frequent for the next two weeks. In my summary each day I will keep you posted on the next threat of a winter system. The national high temperature on Friday was 84 in Stuart Florida and the low was 40 below zero at Laramie Wyoming where chill factors dropped to 50 Below.
