STEVE NORRIS WEATHER – ARCTIC AIR

Arctic air continues to settle in across Tennessee, bringing low temperatures down into the teens. I expect a high of 30 degrees on Thursday and 38 on Friday. Rain and possible thundershowers move in from Friday night until Saturday night and then much colder air will arrive. The high temperatures on Saturday will climb into the fifties but drop to near freezing late Saturday night and there is where a problem may arise. A mixture of rain sleet and snow is possible late Saturday night into Sunday, it is way too early for an exact prediction on this system but you definitely need to stay up to date if you have travel plans late in the weekend. The national high temperature on Wednesday was 87 at Opa Locka Florida and the low was 21 Below at Dunkirk Montana
