TENNESSEE HEALTH DEPARTMENT ATTRIBUTES 4TH DEATH TO INFLUENZA STRAIN

The Tennessee Dept. of Health is now reporting a fourth death in connection with the influenza virus. Officials say that a pregnant woman has died after three children were also associated with dying from the 2017-2018 flu season. No further information could be provided about the situation in the latest death or any of the previous deaths. The TDH says that children and pregnant women are among the groups of people at highest risk for complications from the seasonal flu. Health Officials have released the following statement: “Flu activity is now widespread across Tennessee and the U.S., and we urge anyone over the age of six months old who has not yet had a flu vaccination this flu season to get one now,”
