TWO ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGE AFTER TRAFFIC STOP

Two people are facing drug charges in Roane County following a traffic stop yesterday (Thursday, September 7, 2017). Deputies pulled over a sports utility vehicle on North Chamberlain for a brake light not working. A check of the driver’s license of 24-year-old Amber Renae Redmon of Harriman cane back suspended. Deputies also noted a passenger in the vehicle, 25-year-old Lucas Ray Ramsey of Rockwood was very nervous and interrupted the conversation with the officer and Redmon several times. A consent search of the vehicle allegedly revealed meth, a digital scale and a large amount of small baggies. Both Redmon and Ramsey were charged with the manufacture, sale and delivery of drugs. The vehicle was also seized by officers.
