COUNTRY MUSIC STAR TROY GENTRY OF “MONTGOMERY GENTRY” KILLED IN HELICOPTER CRASH

A helicopter crash at the Flying W Airport in Medford, New Jersey has resulted in the death of country music star Troy Gentry. Gentry was one-half of the duo of the Kentucky-based group Montgomery Gentry. The crash occurred around noon today (Friday, September 8, 2017). Two individuals were killed. Eddie Montgomery was not onboard the helicopter. The Montgomery Gentry concert was cancelled in the immediate aftermath before the identity of the victims was released. He graduated from the University of Kentucky. Gentry was best known for his song “Our Town.” He was a Lexington native and father of two children.The other victim’s identity was not released.
