TWO CHARGED WITH THEFT OF PURSE IN CROSSVILLE

Crossville Police were able to apprehend two women involved in snatching a purse from a Walmart shopper. According to the report, one of the women kept the victim’s attention while the other stole the purse from the shopping cart. Both suspects, 36-year-old Sarah Morgan and 27-year-old Cassandra Jorgenson, fled the store in a vehicle which was viewed on the surveillance system. Officers caught up with the vehicle driven by Morgan, on POW Camp Rd. She told them where she had dropped of Jorgenson, who was also caught while walking along Robin Hood Dr. Morgan also revealed that the victim’s credit cards had been tossed out on Hyder Ridge Rd. and her purse thrown out at Crossville Cemetery. Both the purse and cards were recovered however $100 in cash which had been in the purse was missing. Both women were charged with theft.
