WEAPON LOCATED ON SCHOOL GROUNDS AT CLINTON ELEMENTARY
This morning just before 7, a teacher at Clinton Elementary School in Anderson County located a loaded pistol in the upper parking area of the school. The school contacted police and officers arrived to removed it from the campus. Students were not on campus when the teacher made the discovery. The Clinton City Schools has a full-time school resource officer who arrived at the school minutes before the weapon was discovered. Authorities are working to identify the owner. The weapon was removed and the campus was declared safe before the school day began.
