WHITE COUNTY FUGITIVES NOW ALSO FACE VANDALISM CHARGES

On Wednesday, Harlan Phillips and Amber Mazen were arrested after a police chase coming out of White County and into Cumberland County. However, if viewers recall, the chase ended when the two ended up crashing through a fence and into a field.

Now, the owner of that field is seeking charges against the two for vandalism.

As the two fled authorities, dodging around four sets of stop sticks and nearly striking deputies, they exited the roadway and drove through a cattle fence near Old Sparta Road. The vehicle damaged around 20 ft of the fence as well as the posts and continued to attempt to elude deputies in the cow pasture before eventually being stopped by authorities.

Phillips was taken into custody by White County deputies and transported back to White County before the property owner said that he would seek prosecution for the vandalism.

The total amount of damages sought for the fence is around $1,500.
