WOMAN ARRESTED WITH METH AND FENTANYL
On Saturday, at around 3:12 AM, Deputy Caleb Charles was patrolling Miller Avenue when he noticed a Black Dodge Ram entering a private facility, which is closed to the public at night. He approached the vehicle and identified the passenger as Jennifer Anderson. After asking her to step out, she admitted to possessing burnt tin foil and a cut straw, items often linked to drug use.
Deputy Charles then searched the vehicle based on probable cause, finding 2.5 grams of a suspected Methamphetamine substance and a used smoking pipe. A search of Anderson revealed four tin foil bundles with a bluish powder, which she identified as Fentanyl, weighing approximately 0.17, 0.17, 0.15, and 0.10 grams.
As a result, Anderson was arrested for Simple Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Fentanyl), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was taken to CCSO Intake for booking, and all evidence was secured in the evidence locker for further analysis.
