Election For The Board Of Directors – 2023-2026 Term

In compliance with Article IV, Section 2 of the by-laws of the Crossville-Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce, the following list of nominees for placement on the Board of Directors was approved on May 8, 2023.

The three-year terms for these nominees will begin on July 1, 2023, and end on June 30, 2026.

The five (5) approved for three-year terms are:

• Kevin Chamberlin
• Chad Christopher
• Randy Davis
• Scott Maddox
• Sonya Rimmer

Excerpts from Section 2 further provide:

Additional names of otherwise qualified candidates for the Board of Directors may be nominated by petition bearing the genuine signatures of at least twenty-five (25) qualified members of the Chamber. Such petition shall be filed with the Nominating Committee within ten (10) days after notice has been given of the names of those nominated. The Nominating Committee’s determination as to the legality of the petition(s) and/or nominations shall be final.

If no petition is filed within the designated period, the nominations shall be closed and the nominated candidates shall be declared nominated by the Board of Directors.

If a legal petition shall present additional candidates, the names of all candidates shall be arranged on a ballot in alphabetical order that clearly states the number of open seats. The Chief Executive Officer shall send this ballot to all active members at least fifteen (15) days before the regular June Board meeting. The ballots shall be marked in accordance with instructions printed on the ballot and returned to the Chamber office within ten (10) days. The Board of Directors shall at its next regular meeting declare the candidates with the greatest number of votes elected to fill the designated number of open seats.

If no additional appropriately petitioned nominees are received by the close of business on Friday, May 18, 2023, as authorized by Section 2 of Article IV, the above-named nominees will be declared elected.
