District Attorney General Jared Effler and his staff, in conjunction with the Governor’s Highway Safety Office and District Attorney General’s Conference, recently hosted Cops and Court at Church of the Harvest in Grimsley, Tennessee in Fentress County. The session provided officers with intensive training on DUI enforcement, investigation and court room testimony. Thirty-four officers received this specialized training and the following agencies were represented: Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office, Constables of Fentress County, Fentress County Sheriff’s Office, Jacksboro Police Department, Jamestown Police Department, New Tazewell Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Tennessee State Parks, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and Union County Sheriff’s Office.
