An accident this morning (Friday, August 4, 2017) on Celina Highway in Overton County resulted in one injured. According to authorities, a 1992 Chevrolet Silverado and a tractor-trailer hit head on near the intersection of the highway and Fletcher Circle. Officers say 18-year-old Kelli Marie Paige of Celina was removed from the mangled wreckage of the pickup. Smith was transported to Cookeville Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Officers say Smith lost control on the road because of a heavy downpour of rain resulting in the accident. The driver of the 2000 Freightliner, 61-year-old Charles William Costello of Edmonton, Kentucky, was not injured.
