A Roane County man is facing a drug charge following being stopped at a state patrol checkpoint. Officers say 59-year-old Richard (Duke) Allen Spradling of Rockwood was allegedly driving while under the influence. Authorities arrested Spradling and charged him with driving under the influence and simple possession of drugs. Spradling was taken to the Roane County jail and later released on bond.
