WOMAN SOUGHT IN CONNECTION WITH STEALING WORK TRUCK FROM CROSSVILLE BUSINESS

A woman is a chief suspect in connection with the theft of a work truck from a Crossville business Friday night. Police responded to the intersection of Cook Rd. and Phillips Drive around 10:39 PM for the crash of a tractor trailer. A witness reported seeing a female subject carrying a dark bag leave the scene. The truck was later identified as being from Bob’s Feed and Fertilizer Store on Industrial Blvd. the owner later identified the stolen vehicle. While processing the scene, detectives found a loaded syringe, bottle of vodka, and paperwork from the Cumberland County Justice Center. The paperwork included warrants and intake forms with the name of Terri Ann Higgs. A K-9 Officer was able to locate a duffle bag that had been abandoned in the area. It contained a pair of pants and a slide projector. At the time the report was made, Ms. Higgs was listed as a suspect in the theft. Total value of the theft was $40,000 and the investigation is continuing.
