WYATT TO CHALLENGE MAYBERRY, CANDIDATES SET FOR CITY COUNCIL

The deadline for turning in qualifying papers to run for Crossville mayor and for city council expired at noon today.

For the office of Crossville mayor, incumbent James Mayberry will be challenged by current city councilman Danny Wyatt.

For city council, incumbent Pamela Harris will not seek re-election and Wyatt is running for mayor. Six people will run and the two that receives the most votes will fill the seats. The ones running include Art Gernt, Rob Harrison, Sadie Hoover, Ralph Reagan, Virgil Thompson and former city councilman Jessie Kerley.

Early voting will run October 17 through November 1 for the November 6, 2018 election.

The remaining city council members, J.H. Graham III and Scot Shanks, will remain on the council until December 2020.
