4 CHARGED WITH VANDALIZING MARYVILLE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

Four people have been taken into custody after authorities in Blount County say they broke into Maryville Christian School and vandalized it at least twice over the Christmas Holiday weekend. Two of the suspects are juveniles aged 16 and 17. 18-year-old Benjamin Allen Hurley, of Morgantown, West Virginia and 19-year-old Wyatt Stelman Harper, of Maryville are both charged with burglary, vandalism and other charges. They are both in custody. The two minors are said to have lived close to the school and were released to their parent’s custody. They also face charges. Deputies were called to the school on Dec. 24, 25, and 26 and found popcorn oil poured over floors and ice cream treats all over a break room. A small amount cash was also stolen. The investigation is continuing and more charges are pending.
