CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL APPROVES RETIREMENT OF K-9 OFFICER
During yesterday’s Crossville City Council special called meeting, members approved, on third and final reading, ordinance amendments to purchase scoreboards for the Warner Complex, the hiring of SROs and water meter registers for Catoosa. The council also approved the retirement and decommission of K-9 Officer Arlo. Crossville Police Chief David Beaty told the council Arlo has served the police department for seven years and has now lost sight in one eye and is losing sight in the other. The council additionally approved Arlo’s handler to adopt him to continue care for the dog.
