MAN ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH COUNTERFEITING METH
A Crossville man has been arrested for distributing a counterfeit substance as methamphetamine. Sunday, police stopped a 2007 Honda CRV for a headlight violation. The driver, 41-year-old Joseph Allen Hawn, was driving on a suspended license. During an administrative search of the vehicle, officers found a black bag containing a plastic bag with a substance resembling meth however, Hawn stated that it was really salt. The substance failed to identify as meth and other bags used to package drugs for resale, a scoop straw and syringe were also found in the bag. Hawn was charged with driving on a suspended license and counterfeiting controlled substances.
